How the MakeFit app handles personal data
This policy covers the MakeFit iPhone app, App Store subscriptions, optional community features, synced workout notes, and related support and diagnostic flows operated by Cronian Labs.

What we collect
Sign-in and account data
If you use Sign in with Apple, we process your Apple account identifier, display name if provided, contact email (including Apple private-relay addresses), and related authentication metadata.
Subscription and entitlement data
If you buy or restore a subscription, we process plan selection, subscription and entitlement status, renewal metadata, and support records related to purchases. Apple handles payment processing for App Store subscriptions.
Apple Health data
If you grant permission, the app reads Apple Health and Apple Watch data such as workouts, activity, heart rate, resting heart rate, sleep, and body composition. Raw Apple Health samples are processed on device by default and are not uploaded to our servers as part of the core experience.
Health-derived summary metrics
If you use optional community features, the app may send health-derived summary values — such as Body Age, rate of aging, fitness level, or workout-goal progress — to our servers so those features can work. These are derived summaries, not raw Health samples.
Community and messaging data
If you use optional community features, we may process display name, avatar seed, community membership, messages, workout posts (a workout summary such as type, duration, and heart-rate zone that the app can post to a community you have joined), and the summary metrics used for rankings and leaderboards.
Workout notes
If you create workout notes and enable sync, note content, identifiers, timestamps, and sync state are stored in your private iCloud / CloudKit storage. We do not store workout note content on our own servers.
Analytics, diagnostics, and attribution
We process app usage events, screen views, device and app metadata, crash reports and performance data, Apple Search Ads attribution tokens where applicable, and user-initiated debug or support reports. Diagnostic reports may include app state and technical details relevant to the issue you are reporting.
Why we use this data
We use personal data to operate the app, authenticate users, determine subscription access, provide app features and insights, sync workout notes, run community and leaderboard features, provide support, monitor reliability, fix bugs, measure product performance, improve the product, and prevent abuse, fraud, and security issues.
Analytics and diagnostics vendors
We use service providers to help us understand app usage and app stability:
PostHog for product analytics, Sentry for crash reporting and performance monitoring, and Apple Search Ads attribution services where applicable. These services may process identifiers, device and app metadata, crash details, screen events, and related telemetry on our behalf.
Web quiz and advertising choices
If you reached MakeFit through our web quiz at app.makef.it, that site uses first-party analytics and the Meta Pixel and Conversions API to measure our ads. In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland this stays off until you accept; elsewhere it is on by default with an opt-out, and a Global Privacy Control signal is treated as an opt-out of sharing with Meta. Payments and cloud storage
App Store subscriptions are processed by Apple. We do not store full payment card details on our own servers.
Synced workout notes are stored in your private iCloud / CloudKit environment provided by Apple. Apple operates those services under its own terms and privacy practices.
Sharing of data
We may share data with the service providers listed above and with providers for authentication, hosting, and community infrastructure to the extent needed to operate the app. We may also disclose data if required by law or legal process, to protect rights, safety, security, or property, in connection with a corporate transaction, or with your direction or consent.
Retention
We keep account, subscription, community, diagnostic, and support records only as long as reasonably necessary for operating the service, customer support, fraud prevention, diagnostics, and legal compliance. Retention periods vary by data type and by how you use the app.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or export your personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. To exercise a request, email [email protected].
Children's privacy
MakeFit is not intended for children who cannot legally consent under applicable law without parental or guardian involvement. If you believe a child provided personal data improperly, contact [email protected].
International transfers and updates
Some service providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on the contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards available to us. We may update this policy as the product, legal requirements, or vendors change, and we will post the latest version here.
